Keep Your God Account Full
John 7:38
"The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’"
There is a direct connection between spiritual health and spiritual influence. Jesus promises that those who come to Him and believe will not only receive but also release. Living water does not stop with the believer; it flows from the believer. But that flow is only sustained when we keep returning to the source.
Many try to serve or reach others from a dry place. The result is often burnout, frustration, or apathy. Jesus does not call His followers to work harder in their own strength. He calls them to come and drink. The more consistently you receive from Him, the more freely His life can flow through you into the lives of others.
This applies to daily rhythms. Reading the Word, praying, worshiping, and pausing to listen to God are not religious duties. They are how the spiritual well stays full. When your inner life is fed, your outer life becomes fruitful. The goal is not simply to know more. The goal is to be filled with Him so that what flows from your life is truly His.
Reflection:
Where are you currently running dry? Identify one part of your schedule that can be adjusted to make room for spiritual renewal today. Even ten minutes in Scripture or prayer can restore clarity and strength. Make it a priority to drink deeply from His presence.
Prayer:
"Jesus, You are the source of living water. I do not want to live dry or serve from emptiness. Fill me again with Your presence and truth. Let Your Spirit flow from me into the places where others are thirsty. Help me stay connected to You throughout this day. Amen."
